My Very Late May Wrap-Up: Finale, Again but Better and More!

So... I thought May was going to be an amazing reading month. So many of my most anticipated books of the year came out in May, and I thought I would have no problem reading a ton of books. Well, that's not what ended up happening. I ended up only reading 7 books, and only 2 of them were anticipated new releases :/. Granted, I was finishing up school for the first half of May, and that was when my reading was the slowest, when I only read 2 books. The first book I read was one of my most anticipated books of the year, Finale by Stephanie Garber, which is the conclusion to the Caraval trilogy. This book came out May 7th, and I finished it by May 9th (though it is unfortunate that I didn't finish a book during the first week of May). I loved this book and absolutely devoured it. I'm not going to get into the plot of the book because, you know, spoilers, but know that we get dual perspectives in this one (the previous two books have been from one perspective), we meet

Finale by Stephanie Garber

I cannot believe that the final Caraval book is out in the world! This is one of my all time favorite book series, and I devoured this nearly 500 page book in two days, which is a big deal for me! Caraval blew me away, but Legendary blew my mind, and I dare say Finale blew the previous books away, in turn. With the Caraval series, the setting, the world, the lush prose, and the angsty romance are just a few things that I love that I can put my finger on. There's a whole other part to this series that I adore, though, that prior to reading Finale , I couldn't put my finger on. But now I can! It has to do with the overall vibe of the book. Stephanie herself, in a letter at the beginning of the book, says that she wanted to write a story that felt like a Baz Luhrmann movie meets a

The Kingdom Blog Tour: Q&A with Jess Rothenberg!

**This post is sponsored by Macmillan and Glasstown Entertainment for the release of The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg**  I can't tell you how excited I am to be participating in the blog tour for The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg! The Kingdom is my favorite YA book of the year thus far, and I can't see that changing. This book is just so creative, so original, so unique, and so smart. I can't recommend it enough! Jess so kindly agreed to do a Q&A with me, about the book, her inspiration, and whether we will be seeing more books in the world of the Kingdom! Q&A with Jess: 1. How would you describe The Kingdom using only pop culture references (example: Gilmore Girls meets Pretty Little Liars)? The HBO series Westworld meets Disney World meets the Serial podcast for teens! 2. If your two main characters, Ana and Owen, were Disney characters, who would they be? Ooh, that’s a tough one… it’s not an exact science, but the closest fit would probably be
